Had to share this one - it takes the cake!

Hi, I read the thread in the CC forum where you offered to help someone on gettin the 12" Pred figure from Musicland. You can get me one too and send it to me at <address info withheld>, and I should have the money for it sometime mext month to send to you. I will make it worth you time and pay what the tag says. I don't think paying sales taxx is fair as I don't live in the same state as you, and I won't pay what it takes to get it to me as shipping would make it to expensive for me, but you are going to send me one of these figures aren't you? I really need it for my collection and I don't want to pay too much for it, so I am sure the tag price is more than fair.

Let me know when you send it out to me so I can look for it!

MM4 - I can understand in a way, but also look at it that if someone asks me to help them find a figure and they will pay for it, the tax I have to pay on it is going to be charged back to the person wether they live here or not. I asked STD to help with the poster versions of a couple of ML figures, and I can say that I will be paying the 17.5% VAT that gets added onto everything in the UK. Wouldn't be fair since I asked for the help, and it is part of it being bought. It isn't like you can walk to the cashier and say "Oh yeah, this is going to be sent to another country, can you not charge me tax?"

we dont have that here.. we dont have to pay tax to send stuff out to other countrys..but if the value of boxes comming outside the EU overgoes thew value of 40 USD the customs here can take it and slam stupied fees and other stuff that we have to pay so there fore I always give instructions on how to send tsuff here ..as mega know [img]smile.gif[/img]

I was just thinking that if I buy something directly or by myself I shouldn't be punished with US taxes since I don't live there. Now, if YOU buy stuff for me, I will of course pay that and any S/H because it's comming from your pocket......
